I have different iTunes libraries on 2 Macs, but under the same iTunes account - how do I synchronize the libraries?

I have two macs, and on each one, under the same iTunes account, purchased music and tv shows, so that each mac has its own library. How do I synchronize the macs so that I have all of the content I purchased on both macs? Sharing Very easy...all you do is go to one computer and go into your preferences and make sure that you have file sharing on. When you are sharing your files...as long as the other computer is on, then you can be at either computer and share files over your home network...even files that are purchased from itunes. I think you can use 3 or 4 different computers for bought music and movies!

Here are step by step directions from itunes help Copying iTunes Store purchases to another computerIf you have an iPod with iTunes Store purchases on it, you can use it to copy your purchases to other authorized computers. You might want to do this if you regularly use more than one computer (at home and at work or school, for example) to buy items from the iTunes Store, and you want all your purchases in both iTunes libraries. To copy store purchases from your iPod:Make sure the iPod has the purchased items you want to transfer.

Make sure the destination computer (the one you want to transfer items to) is authorized to play iTunes Store purchases (choose Store > Authorize and then click Authorize). Connect your iPod to the destination computer. Do one of the following:If the iPod is synced with another computer or is an iPod shuffle: Click Transfer Purchases in the dialog that appears.

If the iPod is set up to manually manage items: Wait for the iPod to appear in the iTunes Source pane, and then choose File > Transfer Purchases From iPod. You can copy an iTunes Store purchase to up to five authorized computers. Sources: my opinion .

Copy the files from one Mac to the other Mac iTunes does not let you download purchased content more than once, so you will need to copy the purchased content from on computer to the other. This could be done by burning it to a (data) CD, or transferring it via network or usb drive. Sources: My Experience .
