I have digital camera software that is only compatible to a PC. I just bought a MAC. Is there a place I can get.. Is there a place I can get the same software that's compatible with a MAC without having to go out and buy a brand new camera that's compatible with a MAC?

Your camera is not specific to PC or Mac Only the software that came with the camera is for either PC or Mac. If you go to the camera manufacturer’s web site you will probably find (depending on the manufacturer) that you can download a Mac-compatible version of their software. If not, contact them and ask how you can do this.

You didn't say what brand you have, but here is the link for Nikon's software. You will see that it's available for download in either Windows or Mac versions. support.nikontech.com/cgi-bin/nikonusa.c... .

The Mac comes with everything you'll need. Just connect your camera via the USB port and the Mac will do the rest. You don't need the software that comes with your camera if you have a Mac.

Plug in any digital camera via the USB port, and it will automatically open iPhoto. Just follow the prompts and you'll be all set.

Maybe not software, but... There's still an option. If your camera uses a removable memory card (which 99% of modern digital cameras do), then all you need to do is get a card reader for that card, they are very cheap, even from somewhere like Wal-Mart or Circuit City. All you need to do is pick up a card reader, plug it into your Mac and insert the memory card from your camera.

Any card reader you get will be Mac compatible, even if it doesn't say so on the package, as they use the standard USB Mass Storage Device drivers. I use this method for my camera, even though I use a PC, because most software that ships with cameras is pretty cruddy and sometimes slows down your computer. Also, have you tried just plugging in the camera to your Mac to see if it works?

Macs are pre-loaded with the necessary software to handle most name-brand cameras out there. I would have to know the specific kind of camera to give you a specific answer on a software solution. Sources: Personal Experience .

Use iPhoto that's already on your MAC I have not had any problems using my iMAC's iPhoto software with any of my digital cameras. Even though my Canon does have sw that's compatible with MACs, I never use it, since iPhoto is much superior and easier to use than the one that came with my Canon. For my older Fuji digital camera, which didn't have the USB interface for the MAC, I simply bought a very inexpensive Sandisk card reader through bestbuy.com.As I recall, it was under $20--they're probably much cheaper now.

This allowed me to insert the XD card into the card reader (the card reader came with a USB cable). Again, I used the iPhoto software, since the Fuji camera did not come with MAC software. The big thing you need to check is--does the card reader support your camera's card and does it support MAC OS.

Here's the link to the bestbuy product I bought--again, I did not pay this much, and I'm sure you can find less expensive readers: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8376508&st=card+reader&type=product&id=1177719229226 Hopefully I'm not missing anything here in your question--and I'm assuming your iMAC has iPhoto already on it. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
