Well it is actually totally up to you but I will point out some things that might help you decide. Do you get frequent headaches? Many woman complain that having long heavy hair gives them headaches.
I personally knew many girls in school who their parents wouldn't let them cut their hair. They said after they cut the hair, the headaches where much less and their head felt much lighter and cooler. Is your hair high maintenance?
That has to be taking up a lot of your time taking care of that long hair. I have short hair, and it's very easy. It takes less time to dry, less time to wash and much less styling and hair products.
Does your hair have split ends and look frizzy? After a while the hair will be damaged on the ends. If you decide to cut your hair, my advice is to not go overly drastic maybe a some past the shoulders.
If you get used that, you might decide to cut it shorter. You can get it cut gradually to see how you like it with each step. However, if your hair is untreated with chemicals, you might consider giving it to locks of love.
If you do suffer from headaches, I would defiantly get it cut because these are no fun! Goodluck in whatever you decide.
