Possibly they haven't switched over to digital yet... The date was extended by the FCC for the switch over so there are many TV companies still transmitting analog. Your signal is analog only it sounds like... it could stay that way. I don't think the cable companies have to begin transmitting digital signals over their cables... that is their business.
The regulation regulates "over the air" transmissions only. Of course the cable company would be getting a digital signal and then coverting to analog if they wanted to continue... that would be about ass backwards. I would say, "Hold onto that DTV box.... you will need it." .
1 If you have cable, you do not need a converter box. The cable company takes care of the conversion. If you still can, take the box back to the store and get a refund.

4 You should not need a DTV converter for cable channels. However, you may need a digital cable converter for some of the channels your cable company carries. That's not the same device you get the $40 unavailable Government coupon for.It would be a box you rent from the cable company, at an additional charge, of course.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
