I have seen pages at HubPages in Google Blog search results. Does Google treats HubPages as Blogs?

Having done a couple of quick tests, it appears Google lists some hubpages in the Blogs search, and some in the main search.

It may be to do with quality of content, or it may be that Google is doing some clever stuff, looking at the content of a hub and deciding whether it is more like blog content or full on editorial content.

I didn't see any content that I searched on in both - they were in one or the other, but that doesn't mean there isn't duplication as I only did a few tests.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
