I just got a HP computer with Windows Vista Business, and there don't seem to be any built-in games?

I just got a HP computer with Windows Vista Business, and there don't seem to be any built-in games! (Yes, I realize it's supposed to be a business computer, but I'm the boss and I want games! ) Is this functionality that Microsoft took out of the Business edition, or has HP done something wacky?

While there don't appear to be any built-in games, there is a link to "My HP Game Console" which isn't anything I'm interested in. (It appears you can only play those online, they're graphics intensive and filled with needless bells and whistles, and I often use my laptop in places where there's no online access, so I want to be able to play offline. ) I'm really just looking for Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Free Cell...that kind of stuff.

Anyone know how to find it/get it back in Windows Vista Business? Thanks! Asked by chgoeditor 58 months ago Similar questions: HP computer Windows Vista Business built in games Computers > Software.

Microsoft Help Newer games, including the new games that come with this version of Windows, can be found in the Games folder. Some older games might have to be added to the Games folder. B • Open the Games folder by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, clicking Games, and then clicking Games Explorer.

Try this as well Some programs and features that are included with Windows, such as Internet Information Services, must be turned on before you can use them. Certain other features are turned on by default, but you can turn them off if you don’t use them. In earlier versions of Windows, to turn a feature off you had to uninstall it completely from your computer. In this version of Windows, the features remain stored on your hard disk, so you can turn them back on if you want to.

Turning off a feature does not uninstall the feature, and it does not reduce the amount of hard disk space used by Windows features. 1. Click the Start button , click Control Panel, click Programs, and then click Turn Windows features on or off.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 2.To turn a Windows feature on, select the check box next to the feature. To turn a Windows feature off, clear the check box.

3. Click OK. Some Windows features are grouped together in folders, and some folders contain subfolders with additional features.

If a check box is partially checked or appears dark, then some of the items inside the folder are turned on and some are turned off.To view the contents of a folder, double-click it. They are there - just hidden. Contrary to popular belief, ALL versions of Vista come with the standard games. They are hidden on the Business and Enterprise editions, presumably to stop lost productivity. To install the games in Vista Business: Click on the Start button, then go to Control Panel.

Click on the icon Programs and Features. Look to the left of the screen for Turn Windows Features On or Off. Select this option and then accept the Users Account Control.

Look through the listing and and find Games. Place a check mark next to Games and click OK. That should get them listed in your Start menu... enjoy!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
