Why are the built-in games so slow to load in Windows Vista?

I'll sometimes play games like Solitaire when I have time to kill, but with Windows Vista I've found that it can take 4 minutes for the game to load! Instead of killing time playing a few hands of Solitaire, I'm killing time loading it. I have a new computer (HP Pavilion dv6000) that's Vista certified (or whatever the terminology is), most of the time I'm not running many other programs (Eudora for mail, Yahoo IM, Explorer), I have a Intel Core 2 Duo processor (1.83 mhz), and 1G of RAM.

My Windows Experience score (or whatever it's called) is 2.3, which is a result of my graphics card...my scores for other components are from the mid-3s to high-4s. What's the problem and what can I do to speed it up? Other programs load very quickly.

My opinion is that Vista is written inefficiently, and that the new computer is not powerful enough for it. My opinion is that Vista is written inefficiently, and that the new computer is not powerful enough for it. Just because a computer is "Vista certified" doesn't mean that it is guaranteed to run well.It is just guarunteed to run, is all.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
