I just got professionally selected as a navy nurse and currently awaiting security clearance?

Filing bankruptcy is also considered credit problems - in which case you will also probably get denied for a security clearance - especially if you file Chapter 7 under which you make no effort to pay back the debts. The medical bills probably would have been okay (there are good explanations for these), but defaulting on the other stuff may raise a red flag since these were delinquent by choice. Here's some more info, but the problem will be that you will not know whether you can get the clearance before signing on.

Filing for bankruptcy virtually guarantees denial of clearance.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
