It's obvious this irresponsible young woman doesn't care about right and wrong. You've tried to get her parents to help. Now you have to go about this yourself.

You let her borrow the car, so technically it's not stolen. Your best opportunity could be if she drives the car back to Florida, and you call the police and report unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Then you could get help from your city/county/state law enforcement.

But let's say she stays in Texas: Texas is not fond of lawbreakers and not fond of behavior such as your niece has shown. I would call Texas, be completely honest about the situation, and ask if they can go and talk to her. But they can only do what the law allows, and may not go and talk to her, as she has not committed a crime in Texas.

Questions by law enforcement might cause her to think about it.......but only to have her call you (or have her parents call you) and tell you you can pick up the car. But your best recourse is to get your ownership / registration paperwork and travel to Texas and pick up the car.

These selfish, inconsiderate people may damage the car. If you do have insurance, keep it going. I hope you don't need it, but be ready if they have wrecked the car or trashed it.

Yes, I have insurance for the car. I thought the same thing that they will break it before they tow it to florida. Now my niece since she knows there's a police report against them and now there is a verbal agreement in the police report she text me and tells me that she will have it towed to florida.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
