I live in London and I have a gift certificate to amazon.co. Uk; can I use that on amazon. Com?

I recently moved to the UK from the US and received a very thoughtful gift - a gift certificate to amazon.co. Uk in british pounds. After searching both countries' websites, I would rather order from amazon.com.

Can I order from amazon. Com and still use my british pounds gift certificate? More over, can amazon.Com ship to the UK?

No. I am sorry to inform you that you cannot shift certificates between different Amazon stores. Although they share the name, they in effect are different companies.

I have the opposite, I live in the Netherlands, but regularly get American certificates. I cannot use them on amazon.uk.co. On shipping to the UK, the answer is Yes.

You can buy most things on Amazon. Com, and have it sent to the UK. Keep in mind that overseas shipping is pretty steep, and not available for all products (especially electronics are limited).

Shipping costs for books from Amazon. Com is $4.95 initially, plus $4.95 per book. If you really really want to order electronics, you can try one of the affiliated resellers, as they ship worldwide, but against a hefty shipping rates (about $60, using DHL).

Hope this helps. Sources: My knowledge .

No. You can only use a gift cert for the store/currency it was issue. The amazon.co.Uk cert will only work on .co.

Uk Amazon. Com does ship most items (books, cds, dvds ~ watch your regions~) to the UK. Any further questions talk to Amazon Customer Services, on 1800 201 7575 from the US, or on the amazon.

Com website, via the help pages. Amzon.co.Uk can be contacted through the .co. Uk website help pages.

Just to clarify, you are not on Amazon.Com now, nor are you speaking to Amazon. Com employees.

Unfortunately not. As of now, all the various Amazon. (whatever) sites are independent as far as gift certificates go.

They all use different methods of collecting payment not to mention the various exchange rates as well. This policy may eventually change but for now, any Amazon.co. Uk; Amazon.Ca; Amazon.

De; Amazon. Fr; Amazon.Jp; or Amazon. Com purchased gc’s are only going to be able to be redeemed on their respective sites.

As far as Amazon.Com shipping to the UK, they will certainly do that unless the particular item you're looking at doesn't allow for international shipping. In order to be sure, there should be a "shipping restrictions" link in the product details about 1/4 of the way down the item page. Otherwise, you can simply place the item in your "Cart" and then proceed through the Checkout process.

If you get an error message after entering your shipping address, you can't send that item to your UK addy. For payment, Amazon. Com can accept any kind of credit / debit card as long as it's sourced in US funds.

Just in case you still have an active account somewhere here in the States. Hope this helps out a little. Good luck with your recent move and have a good one!

No it can only be used on the . Uk site it cannot be converted to . Com funds either.

A gc from the partnered sites can only be used on those sites. Amazon. Com can ship to the UK depending on the item..

Can a Amazon gift certificate be used in Germany with Amazon. De?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
