If London City isn't London, then what is London, or where is it?

I was watching NCIS and Ducky was saying that he was going to London, UK. He then said that the city of London was not actually London at all. Ducky was then interrupted and never returned to the subject and he never finished explaining.

He is correct. In fact the City of London is but one square mile in area. The London people think about when using the term..."London" is greater London a large metropolis with several famous areas, also well known and each has it's own name.

Google Map it and be impressed. You can ride the subway (underground) for the batter part of an hous and still be in Greater London. A visit to this great city should be in your travel plans.

The city of london is an area within london. It is the financial centre of London where such institutions as the stock exchange, Lloyds of London and the Bank of England are located. Technically it is a seperate legal entity with it's own police force and laws, for example if you have a certain status as a citizen, ( a freeman of the city), you have arcane rights that have been passed down through the years such as the right to drive your flock of sheep over the London bridges, and wierd stuff like that.

London is the metropolitan area, much as new york is, but the City of London is like wall street with it's own laws. It's a throughback to centuries gone by.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
