LOL! I think you mean "pigs in a blanket? " You can get those little sausages as beef, chicken, pork, turkey; or any combo at most groceries.
Sometimes you can get them with cheese inside of them too. Very tasty, but high fat.
Breakfast sausage is what we use in Canada. In England they would use a thick banger or thin Linconlshire sausage. The English sausages have more herbs in them like sage and thyme and the spices are often white pepper and ginger with even some mace.
If you wanted to you could make your own sausages with recipes from online. Use ground pork (best with lots of fat) and salt and herbs and breadcrumbs and make what you like to taste. You could do patties for breakfasts or just roll your own links and put them in your toad-in-the-hole, and don't worry about the casings.
They are the most expensive part of the whole thing anyway!
I always had a toad in the hole as an egg fried into a cutout piece of toast. I never put any meat into that dish. The recipe from the hub you are referring to appears to be using breakfast sausage links.
They can be found in the meat case where the roll sausage and bacon are when at the grocers.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
