Yes - I know several actors who are introverted and shy! There is a difference between being shy and lacking confidence or maturity. The shy actors I know take acting seriously and are very good at it.
They are well trained and love performing. They're not afraid to make mistakes and embarrass themselves - they just don't enjoy having to interact with a lot of people. It's exhausting and stressful for them.
They can do it - they learn techniques and actual practice doing interviews and the like. But it's not their favorite part of the job. Being afraid of embarrassment or thinking people will laugh at you or not wanting to talk or do something because you're afraid of making a mistake - those are more signs of a lack of self confidence and immaturity then shyness.
Even outgoing people experince that. Those issues can be addressed by getting quality training and experience. But shy people can learn how to intercut with people as is sometimes requires - they just need to recognize that they may need to "recharge" by themselves and they can learn techniques to help them deal with the stress.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
