Because a PC is a multi tool. It can be upgraded to however you want. It has a larger, friendlier community; it has awesome gaming platforms like steam that easily allow community modding and way lower prices; you can easily multi-task on a pc, especially if you expand your system with multiple monitors; you can customize the look and feel of your set-up, with keyboards, mouse, and compact a plethora of monitors; games are universal, you can still play old PC games like N64 games on emulators, and will always be able to.

Of course the main problem with PC gaming is it can be an expensive hobby, personally I spent $1500 on mine including accessories and it's been going strong since 2011!
