My brother enjoys (i wouldn't say loves) reading. I would classify his reading interests as intellectual but not to the extent of being completely difficult to understand. He's enjoyed angels and demons and has even been seen reading text books (including grey's anatomy) for enjoyment.

If he likes information on the Holocaust, I recommend two books:Night by Elie Weisel and Survival In Auschwitz by Primo Levi. These are first-hand accounts of their experiences in the camps. If your brother is christian, I think he would like the book re: the death of Jesus investigated like a crime, evaluating the evidence.

The book is Murder At Golgotha by Ian Wilson. It's very interesting. They are all in understandable language and will add to his knowledge.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
