I need help finding a book but I don't know the title or author, its been years since I read it, can anyone help me?

Wanted to describe but not enough room, its about a family that goes on a little trip to a cabin in the woods, mother and father have a strained marriage because he cheated once on her before, two chidren preteen girl and younger boy and girl's preteen friend. Cabin becomes surrounded by creatures that want to rip them apart but don't come into the cabin right away, father later on gets captured by them and turned into some zombified mishapen version of himself but he still fights off the creatures, oh, and earlier on the father sleeps with the daughter's friend, if that description helps any. Very twisted story but one of the best book I ever read.

Sound familiar at all? I can even picture the cover, a reptilian clawed hand reaching for the two children standing gaping at the front door. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

A family goes on a trip in the woods to a cabin and end up being surrounded by small gargoyle-like creatures running and flying around outside. The family consists of a husband and wife who have a strained marriage because the husband hs cheated once before on his wife. They have their two children with them, a girl about 13 or 14 years old, a boy who's a bit younger and th daughter's friend who is maybe a year older than the daughter.

Every night they hear rubbery wings flapping and it builds up to an eventual encounter with the creatures. A twisted part of the story comes when the father and the daugher's frind end up having sex outside, and another weird part where the father is captured by these things and somehow changed into a zombefied disfigured version of himself who ends up talking slowly and eventualy still tries to fight the creatures once they get in the house. I remember the cover art as being a scaled, clawed hand reaching for the son and daughter who are gaping at the front door.

I am going to watch this one. I might want to read this book. But I do not know it now.

Another book I can't remember the name of involved a small group of people with the ability to dream and become warriors in their dreams , one of them had the ability to shoot his own fist off like a rocket in thedream world. Their eventual goal was to defeat some old lady who was apparently a witch or something who wore a blindfold. The cover art shows this, an old woman with a blindfold with her white hair standing up as if she were being electrocuted, sound familiar to you at all?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
