Written Memories It will take some advance planning, but you could do a nice scrapbook of their wedding photos, current photos of the bridal party (bridesmaids, etc), and also send out notes to those attending the party to write down their favorite memories of them, or good wishes, etc etc. to include in the book. 2. Have all your guests write a terrific story about your parents from a past experience with them. Take all those and bind them in a book.

3. Make a photo album or photo board with pictures of your lives. 4. Have everyone bring a 5 minute or less story, or thought about your parents and have each couple or family attending stand and read or recite their aloud.

You could video tape it for them to watch back in the future. 5. Do an interview of the guests as they come in the door on video asking questions about your parents how they know them, a silly story, a time they relied on your parents for something or a time your parents really impacted the guests.

Give it to your parents as a gift at the end or later all edited. 6. Have your Mom's wedding dress there on a form so that people could actually see it.

Slide show A friend of mine's daughter makes wonderful slide presentations for special events like this. Just scan a bunch of old family photos and save them all to a cd slideshow, add music and some graphics/text, if desired--and it makes a wonderful show with lots of memories! There are companies that will do this for you, of course.

And you would need to have a projector at the event. At my friends daughter's wedding, they did this, and actually had the moment that the groom proposed to her on the beach inserted as a film clip too--she didn't know he was filming it! It sure brought a tear to many an eye seeing it!

You could do the same sort of thing low-tech, too--make copies and enlargements of old family photos, and mount them on large pieces of cardboard to display in the party area.
