Need Ideas for my parent's 50th anniversary ~?

Need Ideas for my parent's 50th anniversary ~ Here's the challenge. None of us kids have any $ (not much). My brother is involved in a nasty divorce and can't travel much ~ he's 4 hours away, we all have distance between us.

50th anniversary How about a nice flower arrangement and a certificate to their favorite restaurant, or movie, that’s always nice.. You can find a lot of decorations and such at the dollar store and no one needs to no where it came from we used it for our daughters wedding we went and bought candy dishes and decorations and we had a lot of compliments on the decoration..They even have table cloths and all sorts of serving dished.. Absolutely yes I don't want to sound like an advertisement, but if you have downloaded Skype and have a webcam (many laptops come with them built in now) you can all visit your parents 'in person' on that special day via the computer. Second, scrapbook -- a special one combining pictures you 'kids' have that your folks might not have: pictures of yourselves, your families, or even old pictures of you with friends from college, high school, or even earlier. ONE scrapbook from all of you is enough.

Don't overload them! A 'gift certificate' of promised phone calls and/or visits through the coming year. Letters from each of you telling your parents how special they are, and why, and why you are glad THEY were your parents.

My husband and I are in our sixties now, and these are the sorts of things that would be totally special to us.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
