I need to switch to United Health Care next year. I have back pain right now and don’t want to see a doc right now since I am afraid that will be considered as a pre-existing condition. Is that considered as a pre-existing condition?

It depends on the carrier but yes, it usually will be considered pre-existing if you already have a diagnosis at the time you sign on, or are being actively treated for it. At the same time, though, I have to say, back pain is rather hard to put up with, and in some cases you only have a small 'window of opportunity' for certain back pain treatments, such as surgery. So decide how bad it is and if you can live with it but also know you are running the risk of doing more damage.
Good luck! .
Yep, in most cases I think you'll find it is.
If you have insurance now, I wouldn't switch unless the switch is through an employer who is offering insurance that just switches over without asking for specific health information.
Not if they decide its a pre-existing condition, no. Anything associated with a pre-existing condition simply isn't covered. You're actually lucky if they identify a pre-existing condition and you know where you stand before you start paying out premiums and they refuse to pay for treatments you assumed you were covered for.

4 If you currently have health insurance, HIPAA generally guarantees that you can continue to get coverage for it, eventually. (HIPAA is what we got instead of health care reform last time. ) In general, they can refuse to cover a pre-existing condition until you've been in the plan for a year.
If you had "creditable coverage" (i.e. The old insurer was already covering it), then you can reduce or eliminate the exclusion by the length of time you were in the old plan. If you've been covered by the old plan for more than a year, you should be able to start physical therapy under the new plan immediately.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
