If your job is casual I guess you could wear a sweater with a tie but I think a tie less shirt looks better with a sweater or jumper. :)check out what other people at your job are wearing.

I think a tie looks great with a sweater, While at youdesk you can take off your jacket (I assume) andd the sweater will look great. To keep more professional I would put my jacket on to go to the bosses office.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
