Not as much as might be expected unless you find a collector. Sadly Canon cameras like the AE-1 suffer from not being able to use current Canon lenses (EF). When Canon moved to the EOS cameras and EF lenses, the older Canon cameras became nearly obsolete as well as the FD and FL lenses.
I know because I was stuck with four Canon F-1/New F-1 cameras and ten lenses. I moved back to Nikon at that time and to this day still use a Nikon system (some of my old Nikkor AI lenses from the 1970's work just fine on my Nikon D300 and D800e cameras) You can check with KEH.com and see what they will give you for the camera (and lenses?) and go from there.
For a collector of Canon cameras then it is worth whatever they will pay. When I bought my AE-1 in 1977 it cost me £200 (around $300). If it really is unused then that is the max it will fetch but you would need to find the right buyer.
Selling it to someone who just wants to shoot film then it is worth around £50 or $70.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
