I received my coupons for my converter box. I can not figure out how to record on my vcr and play back with my box on. When I try to play the tape all I get is static.
I can play previously recorded tapes, but not those I have recorded since having the converter box. We use a fifty foot antenna. I would appreciate some help with this.

The typical setup for VCR and TV is to run your cable/antenna to the VCR, and then connect its output to the TV, and use the VCR's tuner instead of the TV's. With a Digital Converter box, you'll need to connect your antenna to the digital converter, and then connect its output to your VCR, which remains connected to your TV. The important thing to realize now is that the digital converter is your tuner, so just as you leave your TV set to channel 3 or whatever input you have the VCR connected to, you also need to set your VCR to the input that the converter is connected to.
If you have connected antenna out on the converter to antenna in on the VCR, then you will need to leave the VCR always set to channel 3 or 4; if you have it connected using a video cable to an AUX input, then you need to leave your VCR always set to the AUX input. The other thing to realize is that you can no longer use your VCR for automatic recording, at least not very conveniently, since your VCR is no longer acting as the tuner in your system. To record, make sure that your VCR is set to whatever input the converter is connected to. You must set the converter to the channel you want to record prior to the start of each timed recording.
Some converters have built-in guides and the ability to work with a VCR by setting the channel according to a schedule, so you would have to set the recording on both devices..
1 I have this same problem (see question by BethR). Someone at Best Buy has told me that it just can't be done, that my TV output is now digital but my VCR can only accept analog. Has anyone gotten this to work?

2 I've had the same problem. YOu can not record with a VCR if you have a digital box. It simply can not be done!
No one told the public this and I don't think it's right. For those of us who use VCRs and DVD recorders, those machines will be rendered useless in February 2009. The government has once again tricked us!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
