I see ads by Google everywhere. Are they always safe? Does Google do anything to ensure they don't contain malicious codes?

Though the ads themselves aren't malicious (they are protected from code execution), the pages they link to can be. For example, try searching for "free screensavers". Many of the ads are links to sites that are unwise to download from.

The bottom line it this: be smart in what you click and what you download, then you'll be safe.

AVG Anti-Virus Free has a feature you can install that puts a little green star beside all your Google search results to verify that they're safe. AVG scans them beforehand and then quickly pulls up the safe/unsafe result whenever you search. It's protected me before and I've never had a problem.

A recent google study says 1.3% of serch results are malicious. 2% were malicious through malware from ads. 12% of unsave pages were unsafe because of unsafe ads.

To a certain degree yes they are safe. Google has companies buy advertisement space, it's approved, and then placed on the sites. But once the website is navigated, there is always the possibility for it to be vulnerable to attack.

The ad website is only reviewed upon first submission.

Yes Google ads are safe but like with anything on the internet, there may be a virus attached to a particular link. Sometimes without the owner's knowledge. Just be careful when clicking on anything.

Of course they do! They allow the advertisers to submit only a url and a text title or description! And also the site address promoted is scaned by google, and sometimes is refused for virus,or protected brand...

The AdSense ads all come directly from Google. Google does not send out anything with malicious code. GOOGLE IS MALICIOUS already, not controlling your computer through viruses or trojans, but by controlling what you have access to through the power of its dominance over the internet.

GOOGLE can sink any website it decides to sink, including MAHALO if it so decides. If you want to protect your internet access, use other search engines frequently, help build Mahalo as a resource able to sell its own ads directly. Monopoly is only fun when it is a game, not when it is BIG BROTHER.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
