I supposed to be the Co-signer 4 sis in law. The dealer scam me. I found out 11month ago I am primary.
Can I take car bac My sister in law asked me to co-sign for her 2005 envoy. Yes I said. 11months later with the purchased of the car, I apply for a new home.My morgage broker said I was the Primary and NOT the co-signer.
It has been 11 months since the day of purchased of sis in law car. Can we take the car back to the DEALER. I cant afford her new truck plus I brought a new truck 11 months ago as well.
It is hard for me to buy my new home with her primary car on my credit report. What will the dealer do. Any good suggestons, it has been 11 months since the time she purchased her car.
Please some one help or give me some advice. Yes the dealer still work their. Sis in law will go see him this week.

Unfortunately, you're the proud owner of the Envoy Unfortunately, you're legally liable for the truck. The dealer won't take the car back, but you can always try to resolve it through your sister-in-law. Since she drives the truck, your only option is to get her to pay for her truck.
Consider it a lesson learned...never to co-sign for anything...not even for your own children. Sources: Experience .
1 I don't know what words the broker used, but Honey "co" means equal. You are equally liable for the debt when you sign the agreement. The dealer may have lied to you, but it doesn't change your obligation.
Repossession is a messy thing legally, but if you can get the vehicle you have the power of that, and can negotiate with sister, or the dealer. Good luck, and don't sign anymore co agreements, ok? .

2 First of all, with today' economy, neither of you should have gotten a new car. Used cars are just fine and don't leave you strapped for cash. At this point in the game, you will not be able to take either of them back to the dealer.
Most likely, what will happen is you are going to have at least one of those vehicles repo'd. Guess whose credit that will go on? YOURS.
I have learned not to mix family and money. It only leads to hurt feelings and lots of animosity. I hope you two can get it worked out and best of luck to you on getting a home.
Perhaps you can put both vehicles up for sale and have the buyer take over payments. You won't make a profit but you sure as heck will get out from under the bill.

3 I co-signed for a debt with someone besides my spouse only once in my life...never ever again ...I am afraid that you are stuck. Unless you can sell the vehicle and pay off the loan, if you turn it in to the dealer, they will sell it for a lot less than it is worth and both of you will be stuck with the difference...and that is a very bad thing for your credit unless you can pay it off but it will still show as a repo on your credit. I would wait until you get all this settled before trying to purchase anything .

4 Your computer keyboard seems to be missing a lot of keys...Some of them are very important...I will tell you why, if you ask...Meanwhile, you really ought to report this to the government...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
