I think hubpages team should add some sort of "incentive" to answering questions, what do you think?

No, because if you think there are some silly questions and answers now, if people got something out of it, it would be 10 times worse.

No. Like any other forums this is also just another forum but with more or less answers/question thing. Instead of incentive we can ask them to show some ads here and on that we can get revenue share just like we do on our hubs.

That will be much better than asking for revenue just for answering and asking question. I'm saying this cause there is lot of Q/A spam here to get attention to their hubs. So to avoid this there should be revenue share on pooling basis and all answerers should be rewarded on pooling basis.

That will justify it.

There already is an incentive: If you answer other people's questions, you are getting your name known. I have gained fans who were people for whom I have answered a question, and they have been happy with my response.

I like the idea of having google Adsense attached to the questions - where the ad profit could be added to either the person who asked the question or the entire pool of people who participated. As for the dumbness of certain questions... I think that depends on the person. What might a dumb question to one person, might not necessarily be a dumb question to someone else.

But, I do see that the questions are rated anyway, so if you want to avoid the dumb questions, trying looking under the Hot tab. As for the questions in general... I like reading all the questions... whether corny or serious... because that is what gets my mind thinking and has also made me more interactive in the hubpages community. Some of the questions I have asked are probably on the lower rated side, but when I ask them I am looking for some sort of answer that might spark my next creative moment!

Answering itself is an incentive...secondly one might get idea of creating hub to answer the questions...i don't think monetary incentive should be there ..thats my take for it...

I think the incentive of participating in commenting on a question is that one gets to read so many views which is very educating in itself.

I think the new Hubkarma will help a little bit. Of course, even more so will making it easier to find questions to answer. I just spent the last 30 minutes looking around for ways to answer questions because there were no direct links that I could find.

The more people become aware of the benefits, the more they will answer the questions (if they know where to look that is).

Let us hope they do something soon. I for one do enjoy helping to answer Legit questions that actually will be read by the poster. I always try to aid where ever I can, however having to dig through all the spam is starting to wear on my patience.

This will eventually result in many people like myself, no longer aiding people because of all the spam..A sad day to be sure.

I know there's many low quality questions on here that I won't even give the time of day. It's not worth it when some 1 out there needs real help. I'll pass over a lower quality (stupid) question & choose a hi quality question.

I wish there were stricter screenings 4 questions that only waste time & web space. I'd like it better if those who own/work w/ hub pages would screen those questions & erase those that should be googled. If those who want 2 know something would google the question b4 posting it on here, they're most likely 2 find the answer if they probe long enough.

I don't think so because I could not get incentive by answering of many question.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
