I'm sorry, this isn't possible. When you buy a kindle, all it has is a User's Guide and Dictionary. You have to register it to an Amazon account to add books.In order to switch the kindle to another Amazon account, it needs to be de-registered and re-registered.

Once you de-register a kindle, all books that have been ordered are removed. You can buy a kindle along with an Amazon gift card for her to order books.
