I want to invest 5 lakh rupees for one year . Please suggest?

Hey Well as you know markets are very volatile & an 'assured' 100% return is never possible. The BSE index is moving around 18000 mark & is expected to cross 21k by next March. Risk & return are directly proporitonal.

The more risk you take the higher the returns. Investing is quite a challenge with wide array of equities to invest in. What to look for in a good stock?

1. Performance YoY 2. Growth prospects 3.

Attractive Stock Pricing(P/E) 4. DE 5. Dividend per Share(DPS) Your time frame should be clear, that is your investment period & whether you are into it for dividends(long term) or capital gains.(short term) Diversification is very important depending on your risk profile.

Porfolio Amount- 200,000 Target - 400,000 Strategy- A combination of Mid-cap Stocks & Small Cap stock picks is highly recommended based on your target. For a longer time frame (say 1-3 years) combine mid caps with large caps. As far as stock picking its really your call as what appeals to your risk appetite.

Pick stocks that are under priced & shows possible growth prospects. As the legendary investor, Warren Buffet, said "Only buy something that you'd be perfectly happy to hold if the market shut down for 10 years.

Investing in Pharmaceutical companies wud be gud thing,i wud recommend Ranbaxy,GSK Pharma or Glaxo,Cipla etc In IT sector,Infosys or TCS wud be a good investment. Also do remember that when you invest, you do it for a long term period. You must have atleast 3 times the amount you are investing as savings so that incase something goes wrong, you still have some good amount in hand.

DO SOME SELF RESEARCH FOR 3-6 MONTHS BEFORE INVESTING. Best of Luck. S.N.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
