Your problem, like most others, is that you look at what is in front of you VS what is around you. When I drive on the freeway, I look to see if I see brakes lights to my left/right/front and several cars in front, since once someone hits the brakes, in any lane, you can expect other drivers to do the same. Yes, since you was the last car and rear ended either 1 to 3 cars, you will be held liable.
But, it will depend on "how many hits" each driver felt. So, depending on how many hits (or separate rear ends), then you would owe anywhere from 25% to 100% to the other 3 cars front and rear end damages. That will be the job of your insurance adjuster to take statements from everyone, before they pay a dime.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
