I was just looking at some of these kids requesting homework help. Obviously they have computer access, but maybe they are not lazy and need some guidance from an adult. I will try to help if it looks legitimate.
Maybe we are all they need is a sounding board (oh the very thought of it is terrifying) Asked by pammyj 15 months ago Similar questions: kids requesting homework help computer access Family > Parenting.

I don't have a problem with helping. I see a lot of kids come here and say - I've tried this and that, and can't get this. If they show the work they have done, and clearly made an effort, then I am all for someone here helping them.
But its the kids who don't even try that we should shut down. I've seen kids cut and paste entire pages of homework questions without even looking at them and demand we give them to answers and even say "Hurry! " Ugh.
They shouldn't get any help, IMO. There was a question the other day telling us to write a story between 11 and 1000 words. That was the entire question!
And these are the people who are going to be running the country - dweebs that cannot get off of FB, twitter, or WoW long enough to study - when all they have to do is google, for pete's sakes! .
Gotcha. I have to learn not to be a sucker because they probably are more savvy about computer use than I am. Thanks.

Yes, I guess I am a sap and thinking of very poor children without parental support - well, here they are on a computer. Sometimes my (sometimes? Lol) my grammar and sentence structure aren't the best.
I was thinking that these poor kids were at the end of their rope. This I a m wishy washy on, giving out ridiculous medical answers, I will not tolerate! Pammyj 15 months ago .

On certain forums, if one doesn't not show all of the actions they've taken to first resolve the problem on their own, then they'll be totally ignored or told to get lost (actually, they're a lot less delicate than that). One forum that I recently saw stated that questions that were misspelled or had poor grammar would be rejected.
That makes sense, ThreadBane, it shows some initiative at least. You intimidate me for some reason. Pammyj 15 months ago .
I concur with all of the answers below; most of these kids are just lazy and looking for someone else to do their homework so they can get back to facebook, TV, their texting or WOW. Having gone to school, and having had kids, I KNOW that the answer is always in the reading or covered in the lecture.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
