First of all, a 35M is not a HUMINT Coordinator, it's a HUMINT Collector. Secondly, joining as an 18x does not guarantee you will eventually be Special Forces, you still have to be accepted to and pass all the schools associated with it. 11B does not make good use of your high ASVAB score, however the Infantry is the backbone of the Army, and is easily the most respected branch.
However, being an Intel officer myself, I know I would choose to be a HUMINT Collector, 35M. In the end, it's your decision though. You obviously have the potential to contribute to the Army, and I'd encourage you to look at ALL of your options, not just the sexy Hollywood jobs.
35M sounds boring (i think anything intel related is). If you scored that high get a specialized job. Or go supply, medical other than combat medic, computers, etc. BUT since you are so considering Combat MOS (cause with that score you can do anything) Go with 18X.
If you are considering it just do it and do not think twice about it. Just know you are going to finish because there is nothing else you want more. Basic is easy, so is AIT, so is airborne.
Really it is so do not worry about it. Train hard and be prepared. (Infantry and cavalry scout, as well as supply, it is easy to pick up additional modifiers to your MOS at enlistment time.
I.E. Option 40 gives you Airborne AND Ranger in your contract F.Y.I. regardless of what MOS you choose).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
