There are only two legit ways I know of: - If you're in school or have a friend or relitiave in school, they can get an educational discount. - The site royaldiscount.com - it's still expensive, but it's noticeably less expensive.
They are not an Adobe authorized dealer but everything else about them - BBB registration, CNet "trusted retailer" certification - checks out legit, I have bought through them and they're the real deal as far as I can tell...and believe me I checked throughly. (However, I would get the retail version instead of whatever they sell as an "OEM" version, cause I'm still paranoid. ).
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
