In this case, the teens were pretty good kids, and were ashamed of their behavior after learning about what the Nazis did to Jews during WWII, and using that sign was a symbol of religious hatred.It was a lesson well learned and they vowed they wouldn't do that again.
The parent, by the way, approved of it. Many times, it's just ignorance and emulating what you see around you. Teach them to think for themselves.

Yes. Lack of history knowledge is another contributing factor to repeating hate. These kids probably don't know what xenophobia means either.

It is definitely a good idea to find out where they camy by such notions; and if it is determined that the parents are brainwashing them into such attitudes; then it would be best to do something about that.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
