I don't believe in keeping someone alive and possibly in pain, for my own sake. If after thorough medical treatment, the doctors were certain there was no hope, that the brain was dead, and no chance of any recovery at all, I would let go. Yes it would hurt, and yes It would be the most difficult decision to make, but it's one I would have to face.
I would be certain to receive as much information I could, to get a 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinion if I had to. But I know that more important than my own pain, is the pain or suffering of my loved one. They deserve dignity and peace.
I would give that if I had no other choice.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
