No. I've been told by many that it does but I think it's perfectly fine.
If it's just one glass, probably not. I think it would only be considered an addiction if the person could not function without drinking, if it altered their normal lifestyle or behavior, or if they could not go a day without feeling like they had to drink. If they spent the whole day just waiting until they could have the wine, missing other activities to have the glass of wine, or getting drunk from the one glass, then I guess it could be a problem.
I think in order for something to become an addiction, it has to be not only an enjoyable part of their day, but a necessary one. The person feels they can not function if they don't have whatever it is they are addicted to. Ice cream is my favorite food, and I eat it almost every day, but I don't feel I have to eat it every day.
I don't give up other things I love, like spending time with family and friends, to have my ice cream. I think if the person has enough self control to stop after one glass every time, then it is most likely not an addiction.
No, one glass a day is recommended by most doctors. I look forward to my glass of White Merlot every evening.
I don't think so. Drinking a glass of alcohol a day is not what alcoholics do, they go for a bottle a day. If you're not getting drunk then there's no problem, and it may even be healthy to drink good wine.
If you find that you are craving your wine and need it to get through the day, then it's time to backoff a bit and probably stop drinking completely. If you control your consumption it's ok in my opinion.
No. One 8 oz. Glass is very good for you.
That or one bottle of beer or one oz. Of whiskey will lower your cholesterol. My Endocrinologist taught me that and it works.
Red Wine is good for you anyway, at least one glass per day. Don't over do it of course.
