Shots can't cure an allergy. They simply reduce the severity of the symptoms.
Want to know a little secret that helps us,we both love cats, but Mrs Squeeky is a little allergic to them and most people are allergic to the cats dander,we bath ours once a month plus brush her a few times a month as well, and no allergic reaction from Mrs Squeeky,my Dad is super allergic to cats but not ours for some reason, just a thought for ya.
purebredcats.org/allergy_to_cats.htmRead this information. It tell you about other things you can do to help with the allergies. The only other choice is to put the cat in a shelter.
Read all of it. And it will tell you how to deal with it. Htm.
It's time to either give up the cats or take Allergy Medicine every day (like Claritin, Zyrtec, etc), depending on the severity of your symptoms. I, myself, am allergic to dogs and cats but cats is far worse. If they lick me, I get hives, even after 2 years of shots.
Cats, dogs, same thing. A friend of my wife's had a mom who couldn't care for her dog so they took it, and it made her husband near-death in the allergy department. They gave it to my oldest daughter just to save him.
I would never take shots for a pet. I have enough trouble getting poked to give blood.
I could never give up my animals even if I were allergic, and like MrItty said...Shots can't cure an allergy.
There are natural things that people have done to get rid of allergies. I know of quite a few who were allergic to cats who now have cats and they don't have any problems with allergies any longer. When dealing with the body and health you want to work with the body.
Man-made things such as shots will not give benefit because they work against the body just like drugs and vaccines do. Have a great day! Peace, Health and Prosperity,Barb Doyle, Sc.Org 9 months ago.
Allergy shots help your body get used to allergens, the things that trigger an allergic reaction. They don’t cure allergies, but eventually your symptoms will get better and you may not have allergic reactions as often. Allergy shots, also called "immunotherapy," may work for you if allergy medicines don’t work well for you or you have symptoms more than three months a year.
How Often Do You Get Allergy Shots? At first, you’ll go to your doctor once or twice a week for several months. You’ll get the shot in your upper arm.
It will contain a tiny amount of the thing you’re allergic to -- pollen, pet dander, mold, dust mites, or bee venom, for example. The dose will go up gradually until you get to what’s called a maintenance dose. After that, you’ll usually get a shot every 2-4 weeks for 4-5 months.
Then your doctor will gradually increase the time between shots until you’re getting them about once a month for 3-5 years. During that time, your allergy symptoms will get better and may even go away. If your symptoms haven't improved after a year of shots, your doctor will talk to you about other treatment options.
How Should I Prepare for Allergy Shots? You may want to avoid exercise or doing anything strenuous for two hours before and after your appointment. That’s because exercise may increase blood flow to the tissues and cause the allergens to get into your blood faster.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
