I guess you could. You would have to find out what frequencies the remote uses, and then attach a sensor to the light bulb to act as a switch. The sensor would have to be programmed for the appropriate frequency from the VCR remote you want to use.

I don't know what you would need to do this. There probably are some devices you can use to detect what frequencies your remote uses.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
