Adam and Eve had other children. Daughters were not named, though they are mentioned.
Seth" was the next named son after Abel was killed and Cain was sent away.
I'm guessing the only reason that story was important was due to Abel's sacrifice, Cain's selfishness and ultimately, the first murder.
Well we are all descendants of Noah and but you won't be able to determine where Noah's wife came from, but you can see where Noah came from.
Also Seth was a son of Adam and Eve and I would say that the blood line biblically continues from there till the flood.
