If drinking in public streets, parks, etc. is illegal, why isn't smoking? BS. Enjoying some second hand smoking?

It may be as simple as no one has been bothered enough by public smoking outdoors to attempt to outlaw it. Drinking in public isn't universally illegal - this is something that varies from city to city, and sometimes even between locations within the same city. And while drinking is usually restricted to specific areas (such as in a bar or restaurant with particular licensing), drinking per se is not illegal.

Many cities, however, already have smoking bans that prohibit indoor smoking. A ban against outdoor smoking as might well be seen by the courts as being overly restrictive of an otherwise legal activity. But unless/until someone makes enough fuss to attempt to pass such legislation, there's no way to know for sure.

I won't make that illegal, the wind carries away the smoke and it wouldn't become a problem. The exhausting fumes from the cars are even more dangerous and we don't ban cars.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
