If God is omnipotent AND omni benevolent...?

Omni-benevolent is simply a Latinate way of saying God is all good. All Christians, from JWs to Catholics, believe God is all good. However, it is a mistake to think all good means "all nice."

Working justice, for example, is all good, but justice can require killing in self-defense, executing murderers, and waging just war to defend freedom. In the same way, God has caused death in the Flood and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and there will likely be cataclysmic battles to come, as suggested by Revelation. In addition, many are exiled to hell for everlasting misery when they die in rebellion against God.

There are several things to keep in mind about God's actions. First, he made us, and any creator has ownership over what he creates. For example, if I made a robot to clean my house, and instead he began to destroy it, I would be right to disassemble it.

Second, God has the power to rescue or recreate those inadvertently injured in war or cataclysm. If innocents were killed by the Flood or in Sodom, God gave them perfect life in heaven. Third, where human justice is imperfect, God's justice is perfect.

He understands exactly when the society of Noah or Sodom reached its tipping point, where "every imagination of their hearts was evil." In the final judgment, he has perfect knowledge of our every thought, word, and deed, and is fully able to assess whether our rebellion was final and irrevocable or whether we might be redeemed and made capable of life in heaven. Cheers Bruce.

I need to thank you for this question as Fuzzy has been able to give us such good answers. I am sure that even other JW’s will be happy to learn the information Fuzzy has shared with us all. I am sure it is new understanding to many people.

“Did you know that his love is connected to paying back everybody their sins, actions?” I never knew that, so now I am better informed. I used to think that if I repented of my sins, God would not only forgive me He would choose to forget my sins?

Silly me for trusting what the bible tells me. Hebrews 10: 7 it says afterwards: “And I shall by no means call their sins and their lawless deeds to mind anymore.” Watchtower version “God killing them off: Actually the Bible shows that the killing of the wicked is done by the wicked of each other - so in those cases, he doesn't kill, he lets them kill each other off.”

I need to thank him for this as well as I was under the assumption that the judge was the one to grant them eternal life or eternal suffering, punishment and torment. Just me wrong again. Matthew 25:32 to 46 46, And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

As God is just, He has given us two opposing choices, 1. Follow Christ as he want us to and receive His free gift of eternal life with Him or 2. Follow Satan as He want you to and have eternal suffering with him.

You can not be any more just and as such you can not be Omni-benevolent as well. Edit: I neglected to answer the second part of this question! I can find many references to God's qualities but none could ever be considerer as Omni-benevolent.

But then again I could be wrong again.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
