If I buy something from amazon.com, but it's sold through a dif company, and I have problems, will amazon back me up?

I am wanting an air compressor, and I find it on amazon.com, but the site selling it through them, doesn't have that high of a rating on resellerratings.com. Amazon is much higher, so if I buy it through them, and I have problems, will they help me resolve? Or am I stuck with that company?
