If your divorce papers are silent on the subject of what school the children will attend or how the matter will be determined, it seems logical to me that primary custody would give you that decision making ability, especially since determining where the primary residence is could dictate what school they attend if you use public schools. If you had an attorney, it would be best to ask the question before you enroll them somewhere new if you anticipate the issue to be controversial. If the parents cannot agree, the issue may need to go to a mediator and doing so before putting the kids in school and possibly having to change it later would seem more stable for them.
