If I'm not home when my package is deliverd will it go to the postal office?

Maybe. They might take it back, or they might leave it with a neighbor, or they might just leave it in your maibox or on your porch. We have no way of knowing.

It depends. I've had UPS guys leave the package on my doorstep, and I've had UPS guys who refuse to leave packages. If your package is going through the post office and they refuse to leave it, you can pick it up at the post office or you can go on their website and ask them to bring it out again on another day.

If it requires a signature I believe thay have to make 3 attempts to deliver it. There may be different rules if it is a controlled substance/medication, but it that is the case you would have to check with your mail order pharmacy. If it does not require a signature they could have left it anywhere.

We have a sign on our front porch with instructions on where to place packages where the dogs can't get them - they've been known to rip them apart if they get their paws on them! LOL .

Depends where you live, where I am the post man leaves a postcard to say they have tried to deliver, they provide a phone number on it so we can call so they can re deliver, but they only keep it for 3 weeks then it gets returned to sender.

My packages are always left on my doorstep.

If the Post Office can't it leave because it has a Return Receipt, if there's no one there, they'll leave you a notice. Then you can go to your nearest Post Office the next day and pick it up.....fill out the form and sign it and have it left where you instruct the mail person to leave it.....or, you can fill it out with a delivery date for when you're going to be home. As to UPS - who the hell knows what they'll do?

The UPS that delivers to where I live will either stand at the end of the sidewalk and toss packages in the general direction of door....sometimes they'll land in the bushes, hit the concrete and break if its something even halfway fragile.....or if he's really ambitious, will run up to the door with it and lean it against the door without knocking. I've had packages sit there for 3 days because I never knew they had arrived. The only one you can really count on any more to do a decent job is FedEx.

How do I send a package to the post office instead of my home address, I don't understand the "hold for pickup" usps.

The mail service has marked my package as delivered but I do not have it yet and it has been days since claimed deliverd.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
