If Mitt Romney lost to John McCain in 2008, and John McCain having lost to George W. Bush in 2000.?

I've been saying this all along. The Republicans have never really come up with any new ideas since Bush's enormous failure. Mitt Romney, like John McCain 4 years earlier, has given us absolutely no reason to think he would do anything different from Bush.

The Repubs are trying to disguise this by going on the offensive against Obama. In every appearance, Romney spends about half the time bashing everything Obama's done, and then talks about his own agenda in the vaguest generalities--I will balance the budget, I will make our country strong again, I will protect us from Iran, I will make Americans proud again, etc. etc. But what he would do is just what failed under Bush. MORE tax cuts for the richest of us, MORE deregulation of the kind that's caused a dozen major disasters in the last 30 years, MORE export of jobs.

MORE crazy increases in defense budgets. The basic Republican feeling here is that a corrupt, pandering, ineffective, tool-of-the-interests president is fine, so long as he's a Republican. 'Cos living with a Democratic president is TYRANNY!

8^O.

I believe that Romney will do all he possibly can to get jobs going and get the taxes down and spending under control. No matter what people will say about him he is a real business person and knows what it takes to get out of the red and knows how to get it done. BTW it is hard to speak of any future president without pointing to the utter failure in this Hussein guy.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
