It appears they want to real bad. But if they follow through it will be a huge red flag that this country is NOT run by popular vote, but behind the scenes organizations. It will also give Trump a good reason to break his agreement to not run independent (conditional upon not receiving the popular vote).
This scenario would be similar to the day when Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican candidate and the Whig party ignored popular vote.
The Republican National Convention pickes the presidential nominee. Some of the delegates to the convention are selected in primaries, some in caucuses, and some by virtue of being Republican office holders or party officials. There's not nationwide primary vote, so it's meaningless to talk about which candidate in the primary gets "the most votes."
So yeah, the party "machine" does have some say in who becomes the nominee, but the primary voters and caucus-participants have a large say, too.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
