I meant to answer this a while ago but forgot with the holidays. So here goes: First lets meet our cast of characters: Charlie in the box, Spotted Elephant, Dolly for Sue, bird-fish, Cowboy who rides Ostrich, Train with square wheeled caboose, Squirt gun that shoots jelly, toy boat that can't float, airplane that can't fly, bear that rides a bike, scooter for jimmy. If you look carefully, you can see that all of the toys have some physical problems except for three: Charlie, Dolly for Sue, and scooter for Jimmy.
I can't figure out why the scooter is there unless no kid named jimmy wants a scooter. Charlie really has an identity issue. A legal name change is easy and would solve alot of his problems, but Dolly for Sue...she is the one to watch out for.
Like Scooter, she seems like she doesn't belong, after all, lots of kids can play with a doll. However, a look into her psyche and we see something different. --quote-- Her misfit problem is never explained on the special, but was possibly revealed on NPR's Wait Wait… Don't Tell Me!
News quiz show (broadcast December 8, 2007). The show revealed that Rudolph's producer, Arthur Rankin Jr., says Dolly's problem was psychological, caused from being abandoned by her mistress and suffering depression from feeling unloved --unquote-- citation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolph_the_Red-Nosed_Reindeer_(TV_special) So, now we know we are dealing with not only a misfit, but a misfit with a psychological problem. She is the one to watch out for.
She can use this against the other toys. Because most of the other toys have some kind of physical problem, I think they would all be voted off because they won't be able to keep up with the trials. So it will eventually come down to the few without the physical problems.
Charlie seems pretty angry and might be one to watch out for but ultimately, I think Dolly for Sue would triumph over the others. She can use her feminine wiles on him, totally disorient him by making him think she is on his team, and then vote him off as she convinces some of the weaker ones to follow her. She is a cult of personality, and I think she would dominate the others.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
