The corollary there is that - if you eat unripened fruit (the real stuff) now, it makes you sick to your stomach.
I think the GOP chances of winning back the White House would be far greater if Jon Huntsman were the favorite instead of Romney. I can already envision the DNC grinding out political ads where Romney has flip-flopped time and time again over the past twenty years. Rhine44 17 hours ago .
I believe that's what happened in the 2008 elections. (Only McCain was over-ripe)But, don't worry - Romney's not going anywhere. We'll hear all sorts of anti-Morman shots from the Democrats as the election gets closer, but unless they can find something else, he's the GOP's guy.
My concern for Romney is that he has consistently polled around 25%, which to me indicates that conservative are not completely satisfied with him. Does that mean Republicans will stay home rather than vote for him? Rhine44 17 hours ago .
No. That means the polls, a year before the election, don't really mean a hell of a lot. It's just another thing that the media can play with for the next 9-10 months.
There is still time for a mystery candidate to make an appearance. And I suppose even oily Gingrich is plausible, but to have to select from the remaining parade of buffoons is too depressing to contemplate.
Basket of fruit" . . .
I like that metaphor. I might steal it. If not one Mormon (Romney), perhaps another (Huntsman)?
If not one conservative (Cain), perhaps another (Gingrich)? If not one scandal, perhaps another? I'm half expecting the eventual, actual candidate to come out of left field with, "Here I am, to save the day!"
Condoleeza Rice? .
Some of them are overripe: some of them will never be ripe. And the Democrats will never make an issue of Romney's religion: that's absolutely Teapublican territory. That's just a distraction, like making cases of sexual harassment a racial issue.
Ron Paul....Newt G are great. The richest person should not be the candidate...but someone who understands the middle class/poor etc..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
