Thank you for your question. I was referring to lathe cut seals as being a poor choice for a dynamic seal because they lack the formed edges and surface smoothness required for dynamic applications. The pistons in brake calipers do move and as such can be considered dynamic, but they are not typical of dynamic sealing applications.
Most applications have more piston travel; such as the hydraulic cylinders on a garbage truck that has a very high duty cycle, compared to the minimal amount of piston movement in a caliper, usually less than an inch over the entire life of the brake pads.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
