You need a working auditory nerve for a cochlear implant. Typically, these are people who have used a hearing aid, but need something better because their hearing is so poor. (Or for young children, if a hearing aid is not expected to help much.) A brainstem implant may work for some people without an auditory nerve.
Typically, these are for people who had tumors on their auditory nerves removed, but recently some people with other problems have done quite well with brainstem implants.
I'm getting my phd in auditory neuroscience.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
