If the broncos end up getting the 1st overall pick should they draft Andrew Luck or concentrate on defense?

Well, the 1st overall pick is basically about what that particular team needs, and right now, the Cardinals, 49ers, Vikings, Bills, Lions, Panthers, and Bengals all seem to be heading in the right direction to get that #1 pick. But the reason that people believe that Andrew Luck will be the #1 overall pick, is because more often than not, that pick is used on a quarterback, and Luck is probably the best quarterback prospect out there, and is what many believe is a "can't miss" player. Besides, some of the teams that you mentioned, DO have quarterback problems, or at least do not have a long term answer at quarterback.

Bills: Fitzpatrick has played well, but their is a reason why he was/is an NFL journeyman. Vikings: Childress was the only one that believed in Tavaris Jackson, so much that he went and begged Favre to come out of retirement, and no team has inquired about Jackson, which should basically tell you everything you need to know about him. 49ers: Don't have a quarterback.

Alex Smith clearly isn't the guy, and apparently neither is Troy Smith, who looked pretty bad yesterday. Cardinals: Really, you believe that Max Hall, an undrafted rookie, and Derek Anderson, who statistically had one of the worst seasons ever last season and still struggles to complete half of his passes are the answer at quarterback for the Cardinals?

Because Andrew plays in an NFL Pro Set... meaning that he already has a coach that is preparing him for NFL style plays because that is what the team runs. When the time comes he will be more ready to go pro than some of the other picks that will be available. It will take him less time to grow accustomed to the NFL style of play.

As for the QB situation. All NFL teams would welcome an extra QB to their team. There are MANY QB's that have gone down this season.

Miami, Cleveland, Carolina and Tennessee are already using 3rd string QB this season. You say that the Vikings, 49ers, Cardinals and Panthers have Quarterbacks this season. But look at where these guys have gotten them... nowhere.

Tavaris Jackson will get a shot because he has been waiting patiently behind Favre. As for the 49ers.. they have given their guys more than enough time to develop.. someone like Blaine Gabbert from Missouri would fit in very well there. The Panthers have had all three of their QB's up to give the team a boost but it hasn't worked out.

Once John Fox is gone as head coach, hopefully there will be a top notch QB coach in there to help Jimmy Clausen out as the Panthers leader. With what the Cardinals accepted with Derek Anderson , I bet they wish that they had Matt Leinhart back. Trust me, they will take Andrew Luck or Jake Locker in a minute.

Cincinnatti, Jacksonville and Oakland will probably be looking to upgrade. Palmer has lost a step, Garrard is not a true leader (but would be a fantastic backup) and Oakland will always look at QB's even if they have 5 on their roster. I disagree with you when you say that a team will not take a QB in the first round.

Someone will. There is always 1-2 QB's that are turned into instant stars before the draft. And there will be 1-2 teams that will grab the bait.

It always happens. When was the last time a QB was not selected in the first round? This is just my opinion... but here are a few QB's that I could see going in the first two to three rounds.

Andrew Luck (Stanford), Jake Locker (Washington), Blaine Gabbert (MIssouri), and Ryan Mallet (Arkansas). Other ones to go in the draft for sure are: Case Keenum (U. Of Houston), Tyrod Taylor (Virginia Tech), Greg McElroy (Alabama), Colin Kaepernick (Nevada) and Kellen Moore (Boise State).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
