I'm a Christian, so I cannot answer that question...
There are many out there whom do not believe in any supernatural entity and will never change their minds about the way they feel. I don' t think it matters whether you know you're going to die or not?... If it's in a person's nature not to believe, then so be it... Religion is a personal choice. In the case of Christianity, it's about the relationship between you and God via his only begotten Son: our Lord Jesus Christ...
I would rather die in unbelief, however silly the word unbelief sounds like.
I wouldn't be able to get any comfort from this awkward decision in this last minute of my life, knowing that I "surrendered" myself just to fool myself into believing the over-glorified visions of heaven.
This is a hypocrite's decision, something I cannot conform to.
I can't help but read between the lines of your question. Are you asking, now that I'm dying, would I repent in order to be safe than sorry? With that said, who do you repent to?
Jesus, Allah, Zeus? No I wouldn't. It would be like saying, now that you're dying, would you like to play a scratch off ticket in order to get in to heaven?
Your question is very ambiguous. Everyone believes in something and many people believe in some form of God.
When someone is dying they continue to believe what they have always believed. There is no magical moment when they say, "I like egg salad even though I hated it all my life.
I am assuming you are asking this from a "Christian" perspective, because only "Christians" ask these kinds of questions. As a Christian I believe that it is this kind of behavior that turns people away from the teachings of Jesus.
I also believe it is not our job to "save" people from damnation. That is God's job and he did it with his son Jesus.
I'm sorry, I have no choice - there is no god, never has been. I would have to die wearing an honest face and knowing the honest truth rather than praying to a lie.
Firstly, I must explain that I am not a "Christian", but I am a "spiritual" person. I have read many of the "Holy Books" and I believe that there is a "higher power" so my answer may not be the type of answer you are looking for.
I read the Book of Mormon with a friend of mine so we could better understand a girl that we were friends with. While I was reading it, I came across an interesting passage that stated that when we die, EVERYONE goes to Heaven. The only thing is that there are different levels of that plane of existence.
The level of Heaven you go to depends on your behavior as a Christian being. And if you never accepted the Holy Ghost in your living days, you were given the option of Repentance and the love of GOD. If you denied it, you stayed in the lowest level of Heaven.
I thought that this was a much nicer way to look at things, rather than the comparison of Heaven vs Hell and have thought of this way ever since.
As for your question to a "non-believer", I don't think that's a very fair question to ask. Reason being, a "non-believer" may not know if they would reconsider until they had a reason to.
I hope no one dies in unbelief! If you die without Christ, you will go to Hell. Hell is a real place.
A place "of outer darkness". A place "of weeping and gnashing of teeth. " A place "where the fire is not quenched."

Why the heck would I seriously. The question in itself makes no sense . How could I surrender myself to something that doesn't exist.
Unlike most people, there have been a few times when I thought I was really going to die but do to common sense, brass balls and being just crazy enough to not care, I have survived and I now do quite well for myself and my family.
I am a Christian so I know where I am going, Praise to God. Amen.
I will go back to before I asked Jesus into my heart as my Lord and Savior and repented of sin. If I did not believe and knew I was going to die very soon I would probably be very frightened. I have been told we go somewhere not to just a hole in the ground when we die.It does not end there.
I would have to ask myself, 'what if Christians are right and there is a Heaven and a Hell? Maybe all these years I have been wrong.' I would make the choice right then and there damnation is not a good thing. I would probably reflect on what a Christian told me or what I have argued my whole life and in humility back down.
Say these Christians are right no matter what religion they may come from there is only one way to Heaven through Gods son, Jesus Christ. I had heard it said hundreds and hundreds of times. Hopefully they are right I am wrong.
On the death bed I would repent and talk to Jesus and hope he hears,I would beg he hears. If as Christians say I will await judgment for my sins and Jesus is forgiveness for sins then by all means I would risk my thinking for eternal life in the light rather then a lake of fire. I would risk my self centered thinking and trust there is a God who sent s son Jesus to die for the sins of the world.
I would risk my foolishness and pride and hope Christians are right no matter how long I have denied I would take the risk. I have hell to loose. I would remember what the Christian mentioned.
Until our last breath we can ask Jesus into our heart and repent of sin and be saved. I do not want to go to any lake of fire. I may be ashamed but I would risk it to get my foot into Heaven rather then damned because of my pride and ego.
I would beg forgiveness and beleive.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
